Delighted to make Music interact with all kinds of Arts!

Russian pianist Evgeny Sinaiski performing in the world premiere music video of Maria Dueñas’ original work “Farewell” (2016) for Solo Piano. Originally composed for the 2016 Robert Schumann Young Composition Competition, when Maria was just 13, the new music video was recently recorded during the COVID-19 lockdown.
“Farewell” has a bit to do with the Phoenix myth and the ability to renew, learn or rebirth from negative experiences – and it is inspired by a personal experience, as I believe most compositions are. I just love when different arts merge into one and become more accessible to the greater audience ... I think this is the responsibility of every artist.

"I remember the Christmas Night in 1955, when I first heard the Beethoven Concerto by Nathan Milstein and the Pittsburgh Orchestra. When the recording was over, I started shouting “Miracle!" “Miracle!” That feeling remained with me until I first heard the very young María Dueñas on television two years ago. I haven’t heard anything like that in years. I was moved. . . . What I heard was also a miraculous performance and I had the great fortune to capture this fascination in my work "Milstein caprice", written as a special union among Milstein, María and myself"
.- Jordi Cervelló

"Inspired by María’s laughter, and combining the humorous effects of the Tom and Jerry cartoon series and the music of Scott Bradley from the 1940s"
